Last month I went to Chicago and visited one of my favorite works of contemporary art: Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate. I’ve shown this sculpture in my slide lecture for some time now, but had yet to see the piece in person – and it does not disappoint! And, following all the rules of a good piece of sculpture, The Bean (as the locals refer to it) looks great from all angles – even underneath!
